a new home calls for an in home session…
Cheers to those beautiful life events that shift our stories into new and exciting chapters! When I was first speaking with Samantha and James after booking me for their 2020 nuptials (first big life event!), they mentioned how they had just closed a deal on a new home and would finally be living together for the first time (second big life event!). So many amazing changes all at once! And on a rainy day in October I had the privilege of meeting them for their adorable in home engagement session… in their brand new home!With the down pour happening outside, the couple and I hung out in their unfurnished home and toasted glasses of champange to their new adventure. The blank canvas of their home was a perfect backdrop for a shoot representing their new life together. I loved capturing the ease and playfulness of Samantha and James; a couple that has been together as long as they remember. We all laughed as they stood in the kitchen throwing popcorn kernals into eachothers mouths or snuggling on their new marbled floor. All of a sudden, the clouds parted, the most gorgeous orange rays began to shine through their livingroom window. We quickly made our way outside to catch the final light, Samantha threw on a super cute white sundress which was a perfect look against her black rubber boots. As the couple splashed along in the puddles, what really stood out for me was the couple’s love of laughter and how their love sent out more sparks that day than the firey fall colours. Samantha and James, thank you from the bottom of my heart for including me in commemorating such monumental life events! I can hardly wait to be part of your big day so soon ♥︎
