A Vibrant Summer Wedding at Northridge Inn: Britney and Sean’s Summer Camp Celebration
Britney and Sean’s colourful summer wedding at the picturesque Northridge Inn in Muskoka was a beautiful blend of love, joy, and a touch of summer camp nostalgia, making it a day to remember for everyone!Northridge Inn, with its charming rustic elegance and breathtaking views, is one of my favourite Ontario wedding venues! Nestled on the shores of Lake Bernard, this venue provided a stunning backdrop of natural beauty, complemented by that late, warm summer sun and the lush greenery of Muskoka.For Britney and Sean, having their wedding in Muskoka was a no brainer, they spend much of their time in the area and said that they just wanted to share their favourite place with all their favourite people. The couple envisioned a wedding that was not only a celebration of their love but also a fun filled gathering of family and friends in a relaxed, camp like atmosphere. They hosted their ceremony outdoors on the lawn covered by a canopy of trees and was performed by Sean’s sister, with the lake shimmering in the background! Britney looked radiant in her boho inspired gown, and there were tears in the crowd as she walked down the aisle. Surrounded by their loved ones, they exchanged heartfelt vows under a beautifully decorated arbor.Following the ceremony, the celebration moved to the expansive lawn and terrace of Northridge Inn where guests enjoyed a variety of summer camp-inspired activities and cocktails. The evening progressed into the reception which was a feast for the senses, from the beautifully decorated tables with boho details, to the amazing meal provided by the staff at Northridge Inn. Family and friends spoke with heartfelt and memorable speeches that still to this day ring in Britney’s head!As the sun set, casting a golden glow over the lake, the evening’s festivities moved outside for the couple’s first dance. Everyone was serenaded by Sean’s brother in law for their dance. Directly following that, things kicked into high gear. The dance floor quickly filled with guests, all celebrating the love and happiness of the newlyweds. And to end off the night everyone was surprised with an epic firework show down by the water!Britney and Sean, your wedding was a true testament to love, deep friendship, and the joy of bringing people together! Thank you for allowing me to capture these precious moments at Northridge Inn. Your vibrant personalities and the love you share made this day truly unforgettable!
What was your favourite moment of the day?
Britney- “It is so hard to narrow down as there were SO many amazing moments throughout the day, however, seeing my loved ones get so emotional during their speeches has been a core memory for me. Hearing their amazing words and messages for Sean and I filled me with so much joy – it is a feeling I will never forget! Knowing you have an unwavering community of support is such a beautiful thing”Sean- “For me, it is a tie between watching Britney walk down the aisle, seeing her so happy and teary was so special and dancing with all our favourite people while my brother in law performed – seeing everyone so happy was infectious!”
Tell me about the important role that Muskoka plays in your love story…
Muskoka is such an important place to us as it was where we grew our love and spent so much time there together throughout our relationship. My (Britney) parents moved to the Muskoka area when we first started dating and we spent almost every weekend up there in the summer months and every holiday. We spent our time on the lake, hiking with our dogs, playing lots of yard games and enjoying time with each-other. Muskoka has become our happy place and when we were planning our wedding, we couldn’t imagine doing it anywhere but Muskoka! It is so beautiful and makes us feel warm and cozy – we wanted to share that feeling with our guests 🙂
