District 28 + Reid’s Distillery + Tanya + Derrick = perfection
Shooting Tanya and Derrick’s District 28 wedding in Toronto was an actual dream! As a photographer I always hope that the work and what I put out into the world about myself, helps to attract like minded people to my business. Earlier this year I met up for coffee with Tanya and Derrick (they’re both huge coffee fans!) and we chatted about their upcoming September wedding at District 28. I instantly knew that they were my ideal client by their interests, how they interacted with one another and me (a stranger at that point). I was so excited to begin working with them and help during some of the planning as we met up again a few weeks before the wedding, for coffee again (surprise surprise). T + D planned the perfect day. They filled it with all their favourite people and all their favourite things including; their 6 year old pup London, of course lots of coffee and even a gin distillery! <– major bonus points for this one in my books!
I started the day with Derrick and a couple buddies catching the skyline of our gorgeous city, more coffee and hangs in Riverside as they got ready. I then hopped over to see Tanya in their beautiful home that Derrick has a huge part in renovating. Tanya hung with family and friends as dressed and prepped for the first look. They decided to do their first look/reveal at Reid’s Distillery! Which is an amazing gin distillery in Toronto! The staff were amazing and let us commandeer the bar area for their photos and lounge around in their amazing furniture while the 3 of us sipped on gin cocktails and chatted about anything and everything. Afterwards we headed next door to District 28, it was time to get the party started with their ceremony. It was heartfelt, there laughs and tears (Derrick I’m looking at you!) and London walked them back down the aisle! Everything seemed so effortless with these two. The perfect match together and for me. I am so grateful to have found my ideal client and to now call these two friends! Thank you endlessly T + D and congratulations again!xo Jenn
