Just a couple of months prior to their wedding, we met downtown Toronto for a coffee. We wanted to get to know one another a little more, chat details of the wedding, and snap a few “engagement photos”, they were both so laid back, that I think I only took about 50 images of them enjoying their post work coffees. They filled me in that the Love by Lynzie team was helping them to create a classy, winter wedding with pops of teal, gold (check Mike’s shoes!!) and lots of black. They’d be bringing together 225 of their best and closest to celebrate their marriage in a gorgeous church downtown Toronto before shredding up the dance floor all evening!

“Running down the church steps with my new husband and our wedding party, while the church bells rang and cars honked their horns!”Mike
“Tearing up the dance floor til 2 in the morning with our closest friends and family! Dancing closely with April to Hey Jude while everyone formed a circle around us!”
Design inspiration for April and Mike’s wedding; “We wanted it to feel as warm and romantic as possible. That included lots of candle light, keeping the colour palette simple, but also adding that pop of teal as a feature. The couple loves Christmas time and were so excited to share the season with their friends and family. We wanted to pay homage to that special time with touches of traditional decor but reimagined with a timeless and creative spin. This lead to the gorgeous ornaments that guests got to take home and hopefully treasure for years as a memory. I love when the decor has such a strong impact on guests as they walk into a venue and that includes details like how the space smells, so we had Tanya incorporate evergreens to make you really feel that winter wonderland spirit everywhere!”
