When my fellow Toronto photographer and bestie Scarlet O’Neill mentioned she wanted me to capture a little family session on her and Anthony’s anniversary I was so excited! What an honour to be asked by another photographer!Scarlet and Anthony were married a few years back in Toronto, and celebrated with an intimate wedding. They created traditions that they continue to carry out each year on their anniversary! Like returning to the place where they were married, getting Maker Pizza and even throwing on their wedding attire to make it real authentic and special! It’s even more special that they have Oscar to include in this tradition! The morning of their anniversary, and our session, the weather was absolutely glorious! Sunny and warm for a September morning. We ran around High Park in the tall grasses, while Oscar discovered my small film camera and took it upon himself to do some documenting (sorry this camera is in all your photos Scarlet and Anthony)! After working up an appetite carrying and chasing Oscar around, we made our way to Maker Pizza, picking up some pies to bring back home! The two lovebirds got back into their wedding attire and hopped into bed to enjoy pizza together! I love that Oscar was sneaking kisses and pizza while no one was looking!Sessions like this, the personal, heartfelt ones full of love really fill my cup and I can’t wait to document more special moments like this into 2021!
