Official Rules and Regulations for The ‘Show Must Go On’ Elopement Giveaway

 

Entry Period: February 1, 2022 – February 13, 2022

 

Giveaway Rules

1. CONTEST PERIOD

The Show Must Go On Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is administered by Jennifer See Studios and Lydia Ivy Photography (or the “Administrators”) and will take place in Canada from February 1 2022 at 10:00 am (EST) to February 13 2022 at 5:59 p.m. (EST) (the “Giveaway Period”).

2. ELIGIBILITY

No purchase necessary. Limit one (1) entry per couple. The Giveaway is open to all couples (“Participants”) who:

1. Currently reside in the province of Ontario;
2. Are 19 years of age or older, as of the date of entering the Giveaway; 
3. Do not currently have a contract signed with either Jennifer See Studios, Lydia Ivy Photography, Steam Whistle Events, The Wild Pansy or The Marry Men.
4. Ready to get married on April 3 2022.

3. METHODS OF ENTRY

There is one (1) way to enter the Giveaway:

1. Visit @jennifersee.studios or @lydiaivyphotography on Instagram, follow all accounts involved including @steamwhistleevents @the_wildpansy and @themarrymen and comment with a short explanation of why you and your partner would love to elope this spring. All details on how to enter will be posted on Instagram.

4. PRIZE

There is one Grand Prize (“Prize”) to be won, including:

1. A wedding ceremony at Steam Whistle Brewing’s Pilsner Hall, for a maximum of 20 guests plus the couple
2. Ceremony installation and personal florals by The Wild Pansy
3. Two (2) hours wedding photography coverage by Jennifer See Studios and Lydia Ivy Photography
4. Custom ceremony by The Marry Men
5. Swag bags for all guests provided by Steam Whistle

5. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS

Winner must accept the Prize as offered, no substitutions or Prize will be forfeited. Both Winners (the couple) must be 19 years of age or older as of February 1 2022. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay within 30 days of event due to government regulations and/or weather. 30 days prior to event The Administrators will work with The Winners to determine whether a postponement is necessary. All additional expenses and incidental costs not expressly stated in the Prize description above, including, but not limited to, transportation, marriage licence, taxes or other expenses are the responsibility solely of the Winner. By accepting the prize, Winner agrees to abide by any terms, conditions and restrictions provided by the vendors and agrees to give all photography rights to ‘Show Must Go On’ Administrators and their partners included in the Giveaway. No more than 20 guests.

Approximate Retail Value: $12,000 Actual value may vary. Odds of winning the prize depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period. Winner is chosen at random on February 14 2022 by Jennifer See Studios and Lydia Ivy Photography. 

6. DRAW

Winning announcement will take place on February 14 2022, at approximately 12:00 p.m. (EST) in Toronto in the province of Ontario. The Administrators will declare one (1) entry from all eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period.

7. AWARDING OF PRIZE 

7.1 To be declared the Winner, a selected entrant must, in addition to meeting the Giveaway Eligibility criteria and otherwise complying with the Giveaway Rules, first

a) Be reached by Instagram by the Administrators within twenty-four hours following selection of the Entry;

b) Sign a contract and return it via email to the address indicated in the documentation within twenty-four hours following its delivery by the Administrators.

7.2 Disqualification: If any one of the conditions mentioned above is not met, the selected entrant will be disqualified and shall not be entitled to receive any prize, and the Administrators reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to select another eligible entrant as a potential prize winner.

7.3 Delivery of Prize: Following receipt of the selected entrant’s signed contract, the Administrators will send to the winner an email informing them of the next steps in redeeming the prize.

8. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

8.1 Verification of Entries: The validity of any Giveaway Entry is subject to verification by the Administrators. Any inaccurate, incomplete or fraudulent entries will be disqualified. Any entrant or other individual who enters or attempts to enter the Giveaway in a manner that is contrary to these Giveaway Rules or that is otherwise disruptive to the proper operation of the Giveaway or by its nature is unjust to other entrants or potential entrants will be disqualified. All decisions made by the Administrators, including without limitation those concerning the eligibility or disqualification of entrants, are final and binding without right of appeal. 

8.2 Acceptance of Prizes: All prizes must be accepted as described in these Giveaway Rules and cannot be returned, transferred to another individual, substituted for another prize or exchanged in whole or in part for money.

8.3 Substitution of Prizes: Prize is non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Administrator’s sole discretion. The Administrators reserve the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason, including government restrictions.

8.4 Number of Prizes/Winners: By entering the Giveaway, each entrant acknowledges that the Administrator shall not be required under any circumstances to award more prizes than the number of available prizes, as set out in these Giveaway Rules. In the event that, for any reason whatsoever (including, without limitation, as a result of an error, malfunction or defect in the design, advertising, management, government restrictions, implementation or administration of the Giveaway, whether mechanical, electronic, human or otherwise) the number of declared winners or the number of prizes claimed by entrants is greater than the number of prizes available, the Administrator reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to end the Giveaway in whole or in part, without notice and to award the correct number of prizes among the correct number of winners, selected in accordance with these Giveaway Rules from among those eligible entries validly submitted prior to the termination of the Giveaway.

8.5 Other Changes to Giveaway Rules: Without limiting the provisions of Rule 8.3 above, the Administrators reserves the right, in their sole and absolute discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Giveaway, in whole or in part, in the event of any cause or circumstance, including, without limitation, any virus, computer bug or unauthorized human intervention or any other cause that is beyond the control of the Administrators, that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the Giveaway.

8.6 Release and Exclusion of Liability:

1. By the Entrants: By entering or attempting to enter the Giveaway, each entrant and/or purported entrant agrees: (i) to release, discharge, and forever hold harmless the Administrators, Steam Whistle and all other listed and unlisted partners selected to supply associated prize benefits (planning, rentals, florals, etc.), (the “Giveaway Group”) and their directors, officers, and shareholders from any and all claims, actions, damages, demands, manner of actions, causes of action, suits, debts, duties, accounts, bonds, covenants, warranties, indemnities, claims over, contracts and liabilities of whatever nature or kind arising out of, or in connection with the entrant’s participation or attempted participation in the Giveaway, compliance or non-compliance with these Giveaway Rules and acceptance and use of the prize; and (ii) if selected as a potential winner, to sign the contract in this regard before receiving their prize. The Giveaway Group and their shareholders will not be responsible for lost, incomplete, late or misdirected entries or for any failure of Instagram in which the Giveaway is being held, if applicable, during the Giveaway Period, or for any technical malfunction or other problems with, any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software or for any technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination of the foregoing, and will not be liable for any resulting death, injury or damage to any person or property arising from, or relating to, that person’s or any other person’s participation or attempted participation in the Giveaway. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Giveaway is a violation of criminal and civil laws and, should such an attempt be made, the Administrators reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
2. The winners, will be required to sign documentation stating that they release the Giveaway Group and their shareholders from any and all liability of any kind arising out of their participation in, and use of, a prize, and authorizes the Administrators and Partners and their advertising and promotional agencies and their respective employees or other representatives to broadcast, publish and otherwise use their name, photograph or statements regarding the Giveaway or any prize or voice for publicity purposes, social media, marketing, mass media exposure and any other promotional opportunity without permission or any form of remuneration.

8.7 Name/Image of Winners: By entering the Giveaway, each winner authorizes the Administrators & Partners and its advertising and promotional agencies and their respective employees or other representatives to broadcast, publish and otherwise use his and or her name, photograph, image, statements regarding the Giveaway or any prize, or voice for publicity purposes, without any form of remuneration. 

8.8 Unless the entrant has otherwise authorized the Administrators or another entity related to the Giveaway to contact him or her, the personal information gathered about entrants in connection with this Giveaway will be used solely for the administration of the Giveaway and reasons related to the Show Must Go On Giveaway and its partners.

8.9 Identity of the Entrant: For the purposes of these Giveaway Rules, the entrant is the person who is the holder of the Instagram account submitted in the Giveaway. It is to this individual that the prize will be awarded.

8.10 The couple, their guests and all vendors including delivery personnel must complete a COVID screening questionnaire as requested by the venue and follow all parameters set by the venue including, but not limited to, sanitization and mask regulations on premises.
